Rosco was shot and killed in the line of duty Tuesday night while assisting fellow officers in response to an armed robbery. He will be given a service with full police honors. Rosco joined the department in 2009 and he would have turned 4-years old in January of 2011. He was trained in patrol and narcotics which includes building searches, tracking of escaped fugitives, apprehension of fleeing felons, drug detection and handler protection. Rosco was a German Shepherd imported from Europe. Der Verbrecher, den Rosco jagde und der ihn erschoss, hat es auch nicht ueberlebt.
